Development of a Virtual Aircraft & Controller System

Client: NASA GRC

NASA's Glenn Research Center has developed an emulation and test facility to study data link interactions and the capacity of the National Airspace System (NAS) infrastructure to support Controller Pilot Data Link Communications (CPDLC), Automatic Dependent Surveillance - Broadcast (ADS-B) and Traffic Information Services - Broadcast (TIS-B) traffic.

MAI developed the System Specification and Interface Requirements Specification plus participated in developing the System Design Drawings and Software Requirements Specifications for each of the major components.
